Legal Experience

  • 1983 Articled to Paul Olivier at Talbot & Olivier. The firm of Talbot and Olivier specialised in Personal Injuries Law, Family Law and Commercial Law. As an Articled Clerk, I assisted Paul Olivier in his practice of representing the Motor Vehicle Insurance Trust in defending claims brought by Plaintiffs injured in the use of Motor Vehicles.
  • 1984 I joined the litigation team at Corser and Corser, a firm specialising in Banking Law, Commercial litigation and Family Law.
  • 1985 I joined the Partnership of Corser & Corser, which during my time as a Partner, grew to be a firm of 15 Partners and over 50 staff. Initially, I ran a litigation practice acting for Banking and Corporate clients. I subsequently developed a practice specialising in Personal Injuries Law and Employment Law. My experience in Personal Injuries led to the establishment of a Practice servicing the Insurance Industry. At its peak, Corser and Corser were acting for no fewer than 6 Insurance Companies, defending claims in Workers’ Compensation, Public Liability, and Product Liability.
  • 1996 I undertook to the Supreme Court of Western Australia to practice solely as a Barrister and joined Sir Lawrence Jackson Chambers where I accepted briefs in both Commercial and Criminal litigation.
  • 2008 I, together with Robert Lindsay and Fran Veltman, established Sir Clifford Grant Chambers, a set of Barristers Chambers, with our patron being the late Sir Clifford Grant, the former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Fiji. Sir Clifford Grant Chambers currently has nine members, each of whom specialise in various areas of law.
